Taro is an important crop species in Côte d’Ivoire. It cultivated for its tubers and leaves. But knowledge genetic diversity differentiation are very weakly documented. Several morphological types found rural area, but their identification not clear, agronomic potentiality underexploited. In this context we initiated a survey collected 213 accessions from 14 growing regions of The was evaluated based on seven qualitative traits leaves (Shape the base leaf, Predominant position (shape) leaf blade surface, Margin blade, Leaf variegation, Profile petiolar junction, Shape sheath, appendix) during experimentation conducted area. objective study to characterize collection taros different geographical zones d’Ivoire identify genera cultivated.
